Rich Press's photographs have appeared in such publications as The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times, SEED, Scientific American, Saveur, Time, and Cambio (of Mexico City). He has received the PDN Photo Annual Award and the Photo Now Award from the Center for Photography at Woodstock.

Rich studied Physical Anthropology at Cornell University and Photography at the School for Visual Arts in New York and is a former Forensic Photographer for the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner. He teaches photography in the continuing education programs at The Cooper Union and at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.
